We wish to announce the Ramp 2 night closures for Thursday evening, September 2, from 9 PM to 5 AM:
- Complete closure towards La Prairie
- Left lane closure towards Montréal
A detour road has been planned. Motorists towards La Prairie are encouraged to use Route 138 towards Châteauguay and the exit for Route 207 (road St-Isidore) to return on the service road towards La Prairie.

We wish to announce that the configuration of Ramp 2 towards La Prairie does not allow non-standard trucks, over 4 meters wide, to drive on it because a Jersey Barrier was created on each side, and there is a curve at the bottom of Ramp 2.
The non-standard trucks must use Ramp 3 and make a U-turn at exit 207.

We wish to inform the public that closures have been scheduled for this evening in order to proceed with the opening of the exit ramp towards Châteauguay (Ramp 3) from 8 PM, this evening, until 5 AM in the morning, with the following scenarios:
- 8 PM to 5 AM: Complete closure of the Airlie entrance
- 8 PM to 5 AM: Right lane closure and then left lane closure in the southbound direction of the bridge for the removal of signage and to mark the lines towards Ramp 3
A significant congestion is expected on Route 138 to the St-Pierre Interchange towards Châteauguay from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM and at the Airlie entrance to LaSalle on the municipal system due to the closure at 8 PM to 11 PM.
- 10 PM to 12 AM: Opening of Ramp 3 to traffic, towards Châteauguay
- 11 PM to 5 AM: Complete closure of Ramp 2 towards La Prairie for the installation of signage. A detour will be provided via Route 207 (Saint-Isidore Road)
Note that, starting from September 1st, 5 AM, there will be a left lane closure on Ramp 2 towards La Prairie to prepare for the deck replacement.
We recall that the rebuilding of Ramp 2 (La Prairie Ramp), the last ramp to repair during this phase, will begin in the coming weeks. The precise start date and method of the work will be announced shortly. This work is part of a first contract (phase A) granted out of two in the context of a comprehensive rehabilitation program of the Honoré Mercier Bridge.

We wish to announce you the complete opening of the exit ramp towards Chateauguay (ramp 3) to all traffic on the morning of Wednesday, September 1st.
The work that began last June 3rd on ramp 3 was able to be completed in 3 months rather than 4 months, as announced. The contractor, The Mohawk Bridge Consortium (MBC), maintained a good work pace in replacing all 193 prefabricated concrete deck panels of this exit ramp, including those of the new multi-purpose path. This work also included the marking and paving of the ramp.
The rehabilitation of the ramp 2 (ramp towards La Prairie), the last ramp to fix during this first phase will begin in the coming weeks. The precise start date of this work, and the precise method, will be announced shortly. Recall that this work is part of a first contract (phase A) granted out of two in the context of a comprehensive rehabilitation program of the Honoré Mercier Bridge.

We would like to advise you that there will not be any work on the Honoré Mercier Bridge this weekend from August 27 to August 30. Considering the major work taking place on the Champlain Bridge, the Mercier Bridge is an excellent option to use.
We wish to remind you important lane closures on Champlain Bridge from Friday, August 27 at 10 PM until Monday, August 30 at 5 AM. During this period, only one of three southbound traffic lanes will be open and only two of three Montreal bound traffic lanes will be open at NIGHT, from Friday, 10 PM to Saturday, 10 AM, and from Saturday, 10 PM to Sunday, 2 PM, and finally from Sunday, 10 PM, to Monday, 5 AM. During the DAY, two lanes will be open in each direction.
Note that, traffic risks being heavier on Saturday and Sunday morning, as the night closures will continue until 10 AM on Saturday, and until 2 PM on Sunday. Driving at night will also be affected this weekend. It remains highly recommended for motorists to use the Jacques Cartier, Honoré Mercier, or Victoria Bridges. The Jacques Cartier Bridge will open the center lane, according to the prevailing demand of traffic, in one direction or the other. Motorists are strongly encouraged to use these alternatives, if at all possible, since traffic is expected to be very heavy on the Champlain Bridge.

Here are some photos of the installation of the anti-jump barriers that are currently being installed on the Honoré Mercier Bridge.
This barrier borders the future multi-purpose path that will create, upon its completion, a more practical and efficient means between the South Shore and Montreal for both cyclists and pedestrians alike. This path is also very similar to the one that was previously installed on the Jacques Cartier Bridge in 2001-2002. The installation of this barrier is one of the final step that needs to be completed as part of the work on ramp 3 (exit ramp towards Châteauguay). Subsequently, we will most likely begin working on ramp 2, the La Prairie ramp, in September.

We would like to advise you that there will not be any work on the Honoré Mercier Bridge this weekend from August 20th to August 23rd. Considering the major work taking place on the Champlain Bridge, the Mercier Bridge is an excellent option to use.
We wish to remind you important lane closures on Champlain Bridge from Friday, August 20th at 10 PM until Monday, August 23rd at 5 AM. During this period, only one of three southbound traffic lanes will be open to motorists and only two of three Montreal bound traffic lanes will be open during the entire weekend, day and night.
Due to this major work, it is strongly recommended that motorists use the Jacques Cartier, Victoria or Honoré Mercier Bridges. The two lanes on the Victoria Bridge will be specially opened in the southbound direction during this entire period (check the map below). The Jacques Cartier Bridge will open the center lane, according to the prevailing demand of traffic. Motorists are strongly encouraged to use these alternatives, if at all possible, since traffic is expected to be VERY HEAVY on Champlain Bridge.

We wish to inform the public that the closures planned for tonight August 11 and tomorrow August 12 from 10 PM to 10 AM on the Honoré Mercier Bridge toward the South Shore have been cancelled. The reinforcement work done on the steel structure has been completed more quickly than expected on the upstream part of the bridge.
Thank you.
