Welcome to our interactive window
We are very proud to welcome you to our interactive window. It provides a window on the world of the Mercier Bridge and the rehabilitation of the deck begun in June 2008. It’s a grand adventure and a unique one too!
In fact, it’s the most important bridge rehabilitation project ever undertaken in Canada, not to mention that the agreement between the federal, provincial governments and the Kahnawake Mohawk Council is a first in Canada for a project of this scale.
Using prefabricated deck panels is innovative, as well, and makes it possible to keep four lanes of the bridge open to traffic during rush hour. This represents a faster and more effective process compared to pouring concrete, which would require closing lanes for extended periods.
We invite interested citizens to participate with us in the evolution and the history of the Honoré-Mercier Bridge, as it celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.
Should you have questions or comments, we encourage you to contact us. This window is yours!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you so very very much for re doing the side of the bridge that goes from Chateauguay to Montreal by re paving the road. The grooves in the road were very dangerous and you have made a lot of people very happy. Thank you and congratulations!!! By the way the 138 east will be closed for how long?

Hi there,
I have heard reports that the Montreal bound ramp from Chateauguay is scheduled for closure this coming weekend.
Since there doesn’t seem to be anything posted on this site concerning this, would you confirm when this ramp will be closed, and when it is expected to reopen?

I live in Chateauguay and work in Dorval. I would like to know when and how this is going to affect my travelling time in the morning as I work for 7:30 am and I am now leaving at 6:15 to meet this time frame. Will buses be leaving earlier in the morning to accommodate the workers.
