Moving of the First Deck Panels
On the morning of Wednesday July 22, we started moving the first deck panels of the Mercier Bridge. New prefabricated panels will replace the old deck of the access ramp to the bridge from Route 138, which is currently isolated from traffic.
The entire deck of the Bridge will be replaced following this method, which not only provides a life expectancy that is superior to other methods, but which is faster and more effective.
At the foot of the access ramp, you will also notice all of the prefabricated panels that are awaiting to replace the old deck. This process was also used during the Jacques Cartier Bridge rehabilitation project in 2001.
Here are a few pictures taken this morning.

why there’s only few workers on the bridge ?
With the major peration like this one, don’t you think it should be an army of people so the work is pushed faster.I do not see finish this project on time, the way it is done now.
Thank you.
