Temporary closure of Highway 132 near Kahnawake

Canadian Pacific (CP) advises South Shore communities, motorists and vehicle operators that the railway level crossings on Highway 132 will be closed on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 23:00 to noon Sunday, September 13 due to the necessary rebuilding of the rail infrastructure, signals and road crossing.
Detours have been arranged in cooperation with the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake and the Ministère des transports du Québec. All vehicular traffic will be directed to these detour routes for the duration of the work although it is recommended that motorists avoid using Highway 132 to gain access to the Mercier Bridge and to use alternate routes to and from the South Shore.
