Traffic disrupted in direction of Montreal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Closure of one of two lanes on ramp 2
We wish to announce that the contractor will undertake electrical maintenance tomorrow, November 26, 2009. Therefore, one of two lanes will be closed on ramp 2 (access ramp from La Prairie toward Montreal) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
We wish to warn users that this closure should cause an important slowdown to access Mercier Bridge.
Users are invited to take other South Shore bridges while the work is taking place, as well as the public transit system.

For all the amazing work and concern for users on the Mercier, yesterday was acceptable. Please promise me you will indeed build a bicycle lane into the bridge. You will be surprised at how busy it will be. Thanks again for being so careful concerning making life easier for motorists.

I wonder if you could send planned lane closing, etc, two (2) days before the event…if possible. The work for today was advertised by the word “tomorrow” but it happens that very day…too late for planning ahead. Today’s closing of one lane was received this morning…too late for making changes. Just a suggestion.
