Removal of Work Platform Under Ramp 4 – Closing of Ramp 2 – La Prairie on ramp and off ramp
We wish to announce the closing of Ramp 2; that is, the La Prairie on and off ramps from Saturday, May 1 at 5:00 AM until Monday, May 3 at 5:00 AM. Details are the following:
Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 5:00 AM to Sunday, May 2 at 5:00 AM
- Complete closing of Ramp 2 toward Montreal and closing of the left lane toward La Prairie
Sunday, May 2, 2010, at 5:00 AM to Monday, May 3 at 5:00 AM
- Complete closing of Ramp 2 toward La Prairie and closing of the left lane toward Montreal
Signs will indicate detours for users during the work. Users from La Prairie are invited to use the ramp linking Highways 132 and 138. The Highway 207 (Saint-Isidore Road) will allow users to return to Highway 138 in the opposite direction and get access to the bridge by the Châteauguay on ramp (Ramp 4).
Users travelling in the La Prairie direction will be directed to do the opposite. They will take the Châteauguay exit ramp and travel toward La Prairie by using the Highway 207 (Saint-Isidore Road) exit that will take them in the opposite direction on Highway 138 toward Highway 132 and La Prairie.
The work will allow removal of the work platform under the on ramp to the bridge coming from Châteauguay (Ramp 4). Rehabilitation work on the deck occurred in 2009.
It should also be noted that the clearance under Ramp 4 will be restored to 4.1 metres on Monday, May 3 at 5:00 AM for users (mostly trucks) using the La Prairie on ramp to the bridge.

Why not use the work platforms in place to have the bridge structure painted at this time?
