Mercier Bridge

Here are some photos and video taken in the past few weeks when the last concrete deck panels were installed on Ramp 3, the exit ramp towards Châteauguay. In the next few weeks, post-tensioning and installation work of the new expansion joints will need to be carried out, in addition to the paving that will need to be done. The work pace is excellent, and we are confident that we will meet our schedule and finish this work in September.

Remember that last week-end, ongoing steel reinforcing and repair work were carried out on the upstream bridge structure (B2 Sector), spanning the river, in anticipation of the second phase of this Honoré Mercier bridge rehabilitation project (Contract B). As a matter of fact, since the new prefabricated concrete deck  to be installed under the second phase of the project (Contract B) will be wider and heavier than the existing one, preparatory work to  the steel structure is necessary.
